Baptism at Shiloh Community Church

Shiloh Community Church believes that baptism is a next step for believers, done in obedience to the commandment of Jesus in the New Testament (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38). We regularly provide opportunities for baptism during the weekend services.

We believe that baptism is:

• An outward expression of an inward change. It is an obedient, symbolic association with Christ’s death and resurrection, which has saved all those who believe in Him (Romans 6: 1 - 4)
• An act of obedience commanded by Jesus Christ and His disciples (Matthew 28: 18 - 20; Acts 2:34)
• Symbolic of a believer's cleansing from sin (1 Peter 3: 21)
• A personal identification with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection (Colossians 2: 11 - 12)
